This year has been full of changes, choices, upheavals, and new starts. Earlier this year, my little family made the decision to move out of state to a small town. It is a great atmosphere for both myself and my children, who will actually go outside once in a while instead of staying glued to the Playstation for hours on end. It has also been a rejuvenation of sorts, for yours truly. I had to take a step back and really think about what I wanted to do with my life, both personally and professionally (writing and day job wise). I took a pay cut, because I knew, deep down, this was going to be a great change for all parties involved. So far it has been.
Now, that does not mean that it came without issue or difficulty. It did. We faced our struggles and have pushed through them. We are not ‘on top’ yet, but we are striving daily to get there. And I’ve managed to find my way back to my writing.
Currently, I am working on two projects. A short story to be released with the Stories of Sun, Sand, and Sea authors that will be geared towards the holidays. I’m really excited to be able to work with these ladies again, as well as with some new additions to the group. I’m also over the moon about my Urban Fantasy series that I am working on and you will get a preview of that world in a novella I hope to release soon as well.
We are nearly half way through the year, and sadly, my writing world has little to show for it. But the year is not over and I have big plans to get me through the year!
